Install QUIZ AI Builder from the Google Workspace Marketplace. Works with any Google account including Workspace for Education. Free: 5 free quizzes every month, no API key needed.
Open in Google Forms
Create a new Google Form or open an existing one. Click the puzzle icon (add-ons) → QUIZ AI Builder → Open Builder. The builder opens in a window (a side panel is also available).
Drop Your Teaching Material or Type a Topic
Drop a PDF, a Word, PowerPoint or Excel file (textbook chapter, slide deck, handout), a photo of a page (the AI reads images), or simply paste text from your notes. No document? Just type a topic. Files can be up to 14 MB.
Customize Your Quiz (Optional)
Everything is automatic by default. Want control? Choose the number of questions (up to 20 per generation in Quick mode), the question types (single choice, multiple choice, dropdown, grids, fill in the blanks, or a mix), the difficulty level, and the language (16 available).
Generate and Review
Click Generate my quiz. In 1 to 2 minutes, the AI reads your content and creates questions with correct answers and plausible distractors. Review the questions and edit anything you want before sharing.

Yes! Drop a PDF, a Word (.docx), PowerPoint (.pptx) or Excel (.xlsx) file, an OpenDocument or text file — textbook chapters, slide decks, research papers, handouts — up to 14 MB. You can also photograph textbook pages or handwritten notes with your phone (PNG, JPG, WEBP): the AI reads text from images. For Word, PowerPoint, Excel and text files, only the text is extracted.
Six types: single choice, multiple choice, dropdown, single-choice grid, multiple-choice grid and fill in the blanks. A true/false question is simply a single choice with two options. Single choice, multiple choice and dropdown questions are graded automatically; for grids and fill in the blanks, the answer key is provided and you set the grading by hand. You can mix types or pick the ones you want.
You get 5 free quizzes every month — no API key needed. For more, Premium is €6.99/month for unlimited quizzes. Quick mode allows 5 generations per day in the free version (50 per day with Premium), with up to 20 questions per generation; up to 50 questions with your own Google key or in Manual mode.
